Salt Medics is partnered with a fantastic Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in regional Victoria, seeking a locum GP for a 12-week placement. The role involves 3 days in the GP clinic and 1 day per week (or 2 half-days) in the aged care facility. Located just 2.5 hours from Melbourne, this is an ideal drive-in, drive-out opportunity for Victorian-based doctors seeking continuity of work while contributing to care that truly matters.
You’ll join a supportive multidisciplinary team including GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, Aboriginal health workers, mental health nursing support, visiting allied health, and dedicated admin and community staff delivering holistic, culturally safe care.
We’re seeking a GP with AMS/ACCO experience and a strong commitment to cultural safety and awareness. Experience with Communicare is highly regarded, though not essential.
Job Specifics:
• $1,800 per day
• Available from mid-May / June 2026
• 12-week placement with potential extension
• Option to work 4 days per week and enjoy long weekends at home
• Accommodation provided and fuel reimbursed
• FRACGP or FACRRM essential
• AMS or ACCO experience required
