The Opportunity
I am seeking a Medical Officer to join a global CRO’s clinical team for a pivotal First-in-Human (FIH) study.
This is a contractor role focused on a breakthrough monoclonal antibody treatment for IBD. You will act as an Independent Clinician, supporting the Principal Investigator in ensuring the scientific integrity of this high-profile trial.
The Role
This is a sophisticated clinical-research hybrid focused on high-level patient safety and data precision:
-Specialised Procedures: Perform and oversee study-specific procedures, including endoscopies at protocol-defined timepoints.
-Safety Oversight: Monitor patient safety, manage adverse event (AE) reporting, and provide medical escalation for safety concerns.
-Clinical Integrity: Review source documentation and case report forms (CRFs) in strict compliance with ICH-GCP standards.
-Collaboration: Partner with global sponsors and ethics committees to ensure seamless trial execution.
The Candidate
-AHPRA Registered: Medical Practitioner with essential experience in managing IBD patients.
-Specialisation: Specialist registration in Gastroenterology is highly preferred.
-Research Mindset: Prior clinical trial experience is a plus, but my client will provide training for the right clinician with strong IBD acumen.
-Technical Skills: Proficiency in endoscopy is required for protocol-defined visits.
Why This Move?
Contribute to world-class research in a culture that fosters autonomy and reimagines the clinical trial process. You’ll be at the forefront of IBD therapy, working on a “First-in-Human” drug portfolio.
